Ŋändama and Dhaykamalu graduating with Masters in Indigenous Knowledge - Mawul Rom
I'm in Darwin for a number of reasons. However one special reason is that I have received an invitation by Ŋändama to join her at her graduation of a Masters of Indigenous Knowledge, Mawul Rom. This will be a very unique occasion and such a privilege to share with her, as my yolŋu Mum and also as my colleague in the Scripture in Use work.
This Masters project has academic recognition through the Charles Darwin University. The graduation is being held at the Convention Centre on Friday. You can find out more about this course by clicking on the Master Project. ![]() The first thunderstorm for the new wet season came yesterday, 16thOctober. That's early. It is a spectacular sight to see the thunderheads rising 1000's of metres, to hear the rumbling of 'Wolma', to feel the cool relief that blows in and the refreshing rains. Somehow life is instantly revitalised from the energy-sapping humidity. My house was instantly filled underneath by wet bodies seeking protection from the lightning as they raced home from Mission Beach where they had been cooling off in the shallow waters. Out in the garden the wooly-butt Eucalypts turn an amazing green on their freshly exposed torso where the bark has stripped off.. Cathy reckons this website needs a blog.
